Dr. Cynthia LeMay’s training and consulting is focused on managing intergenerational and multicultural workplaces. Tailored to meet the specific needs of individual clients and attendees, topics include what younger generations want and value in the workplace and how to recruit, manage, and retain these valuable employees. Participants include senior management and managers responsible for hiring, managing, and retaining employees. In addition, employees working in training and development benefit from a review of the types of learning programs that resonate with younger workers as well as an understanding of younger employees’ expectations for advancement.

Another facet of Dr. LeMay’s training is focused on conflict styles where her research shows interesting differences in how different generations manage conflict in the workplace. This training is applicable company-wide and can include a conflict styles assessment, allowing participants to better understand their approach to conflict. In addition, Cynthia’s training addresses the intersection of gender and conflict styles, showing gender differences in the conflict styles of younger versus older workers.

A second-tier program is how to attract and establish a relationship with Millennials as consumers – what is it that Millennials are looking for in the products and services you offer? This can be supported by external consulting to conduct research and focus groups that will specifically address your marketplace. This type of research has proven most effective in sales and development.
